Letters to Eve: 8 Months

Dear Eve,

Mommy is a little behind with this letter. You turned eight months old over a week ago!  I just can't believe how much you have changed over this past month. You interact with us so much more and you are all over the place! I have to keep an eye on you at all times. Your personality is growing and it is so fun to get to see it!
Daddy thought it would be funny to put you in a drawer
A couple of weeks ago you started to pull yourself up to a standing position! You first started doing it using either Daddy or me. Then you did it using the back of a bench at church. After that you started doing it all the time. You'll use whatever is available- the couch, chairs, your crib, boxes, open drawers. It is so adorable. It's your favorite thing to do right now.

You also started to crawl on your hands and knees a couple of weeks ago! You're getting really good at it. You rarely army crawl now.

Since you've been able to crawl, you've also been able to push yourself into a sitting position. No one has to help you anymore. You still fall over occasionally when you're sitting, though. You don't seem to quite understand that it's not a good idea to just let yourself fall backward.
Wearing your cousin Lara's hat
You don't really like to eat pureed baby food anymore. It's a struggle every day to get you to eat half of a jar. I've started feeding you cut up fruits and vegetables and you seem to like this a lot more than the purees. You still don't eat very much of it though. You are just not a big eater.

In the past few weeks you have also become very chatty! You use syllables now and it is the cutest thing ever! I can't help but smile every time you break out in a little rant. I can't wait until I can understand what you're saying!

My one complaint is that you have changed your sleeping habits! You used to sleep from 10 pm to 7:30 am and then go back to sleep for another couple of hours. Now you wake up at 5am and then sleep till about 8am. I don't mind the 8am part, just the 5am part!

Daddy and I just adore you! You bring us so much happiness.
I love you more and more each day, little girl.

Love, Mom
