Eve's outfit- Cardigan: Target // Tutu: Walmart

I have suddenly developed a love of turtleneck shirts (I'm wearing one above in case you can't tell). I had always avoided them because most of my experiences with them weren't super positive. The ones I'd tried on had been super thick so I felt like I was being choked. I may wear uncomfortable heels and skin tight jeans in the sake of fashion but I draw the line when I feel like I can't breathe. I found myself willing to give them another shot when I walked into the sale section of H&M and saw some on sale for $5. Plus these ones were soft, super stretchy, and fairly thin. I could trust these shirts not to strangle me. So two of them came home with me that day and another one arrived in my mailbox within the same week. Apparently when I fall for something, I fall hard.

On a completely different note, I'm failing miserably with my new years resolutions. It's not very surprising though because this happens every year. I set a ridiculous number of resolutions and twenty-seven of them were things that needed to be done on a daily (or almost daily) basis. I did really well for the first four or five days... then I started missing a few here and there... and now I barely get any of them done. I think about all of them and say to myself "there's no way I can fit all of those things in today, so why try? I'll start again tomorrow." I'm a total slacker/lazy bum. So, to keep myself more motivated, I'm going to start making weekly goals. It's a lot more intimidating to try and be perfect for a whole year than it is for a whole week. I guess I'll reward myself a little if I keep my goals for the week too... maybe a new nail polish? Lipstick? In-N-Out burger? Wait, no, that goes against one of my resolutions. This stuff is hard.

  7. I used to feel the exact same way about turtlenecks. Good thing we both got over it because they really can make an outfit look even better. Yours looks great with that skirt and belt.
