Mint Peplum

Peplum is a silhouette that I completely adore. Perhaps the trend is past it's peak but that doesn't matter to me. I'll still keep wearing it. How can I not when it's just so feminine and flattering. The flared bottom is perfect for those of us that don't have a completely flat stomach, whether that's due to having had a baby or not. This jacket was impossible to pass up. Not only is it peplum but it's mint. Mint, people.

You may have noticed that I'm wearing an accessory that wasn't really chosen for it's beauty. Despite this, it's an accessory I've been wearing every day. It's the Fitbit Charge HR. I'd been thinking about getting one for quite a while and finally went for it. I've only had it for a couple of weeks so I'll wait a little longer before I share my opinion of it. So far I'm loving it, though.

I would have shared a postpartum weight loss update on Monday but a combination of rainy weather and my husband going to California for the weekend made it impossible to take a decent set of outfit pictures. So I'll share it here. Things are going well. The weight is steadily coming off thanks to some healthy eating and a little exercise. I haven't been counting calories as much this week, just focusing on eating really cleanly. I've come up with a pretty great way of doing so. I think I'll dedicate a post to that next week. I got myself to the gym a few times in the past couple of weeks. I often don't get the chance to go until 9 or 10 at night so it's hard to push myself out the door. I want to do better about that this week. We go on a walk almost every day so that helps things too.

8 Weeks Postpartum
Height: 5' 6"
6 weeks postpartum: 137 lb
Current weight: 135 lb
Total weight loss: 28 lb
Plan for the week: count calories, go to the gym at least three times, start weight training

  1. I love mint, and I love peplum hems! I've never seen a jacket like this, and it's just adorable.
If I had a fitbit, I would probably find some way to justify splurging on the Tory Burch fitbit bracelet.

    1. Thanks! Sadly the Tory Burch bracelets only work with the fitbit flex and I have the Charge HR! Some etsy stores sell bracelets to cover them so I'm going to look into that

  2. Your hair is incredible! (Color-blindness and a Y-chromosome disqualify me from comment on the outfit, but I'm sure it's incredible too.)
