A Floral Skirt and a Little White Dress

Little white dress cookies

Yesterday, John gave Lily a blessing during church. He gave her such a sweet blessing and it was so fun to have our family and friends there to be a part of it. I prepared some refreshments for everyone to come and eat after the meeting and we also took the opportunity to take a few pictures of our little family. John managed to smile for about thirty seconds when we were taking pictures of him and Lily together and then he just started doing things like in the picture above. Blue steeling, holding her up like she was Simba in the Lion King, and giving her big kisses that smooshed her face. Maybe not things I'll put up on a wall but they're still fun to have.

Getting Eve to smile for the camera is just the worst. We were telling her that we would give her a little box of Nerds if she would just sit with us and smile for a couple of pictures but she just wouldn't do it. She just wanted to wander around in the grass. It wasn't until John went inside and showed her the actual box of Nerds that she finally sat down for a minute with us.

Sorry about the state of my skirt here. I took a pretty long nap with Lily just before we snapped these pictures and my skirt paid the price in wrinkleyness. My hair also suffered a little too. I'm only a little sorry though because that was one good nap.

  1. I love your floral pencil skirt, Sierra! What precious girls you have! I'm surprised to read that Eve is tough to photograph because based on this photo, it looks like she loves it! That is THE cutest pic of her! Definitely canvas print worthy :)
