Favorite Outfits of July

 1  |  2  |  3  |  4

Sorry guys, no new outfit post today. We had to put down the dog I grew up with on Wednesday afternoon so I haven't been up for getting all dressed up. I think I will today though. It always helps me feel a little better.

I think part of the reason I love outfits 1, 2, and 4 is that I used a lot of pieces that were already in my closet. I just found new ways to style them. I love mixing and matching things in my closet to create new outfits. It can seem like most fashion bloggers rarely wear something more than once, but I don't think that's very relatable. Most of the time I don't buy anything unless I really love it, so when I do buy something, I'm going to want to wear it multiple times.

Some of these outfits also pushed me out of my comfort zone a little. For outfit 1, I was going to play it safe and pair the sequin top with a black skirt, but decided to try something new by going for a more monochromatic color scheme. In outfit 3, I wore palazzo pants, which was one trend I thought I would never try. I thought they would be unflattering on me, but I was wrong. In outfit 4, I had originally been wearing a light blue top but decided to pattern mix instead. It's funny how many of my favorite outfits come to be because I push myself out of my comfort zone.

Deal of the Day

When I saw Blair from Atlantic Pacific wearing the Schutz Juliana Caged Sandals on the left, I couldn't help but click the link and check them out. While $190 is a lot less than some of the other shoes she wears, it's still a hefty price tag. Later as I was browsing through Nordstrom's site, I came across the Steve Madden Slithur ones which are almost identical!
