I Feel Preppy

Teal patterned tank: Target  |  White button down: H&M  |  Straight leg jeans: J. Brand (similar here)  |  Argle Kitten Heels: similar here  | Wood watch: JORD  |  Pearl cluster necklace: Forever 21 (similar here and here)

Usually I always pair my tank tops with blazers or cardigans. Given that it is still summer, however, it's not always comfortable to wear those things. So I decided to mix things up by wearing a button down shirt under my tank. I threw on a pair of kitten heels that I haven't worn in years, mainly because I spent Saturday going to a wedding, luncheon, and reception in 4.5 inch heels and my feet needed a break. The result was one very preppy outfit. Or, as you know if you follow me on instagram, "collegiate," as my father-in-law described it.

Guys, my baby is five months old! Five months! I can't believe it. Next month she'll be six months! Yes, I know that's obvious, but that's crazy. At six months she'll start eating food, and sitting up, and it won't be long before she's crawling. So I'll just be over here, staring at her newborn pictures and crying...

  4. Don't they grow up way too fast? If I'm not mistaken, my nephew was born the same day (or very close) to your daughter and it's crazy how much he's changed even over the month of July. I have to tell myself it's a great thing, but I do get a little emotional when I realize I have a one and a half year old. /:

I've said it once and I'll say it again, you look like Blair Waldorf. Especially with this stunning braid going on. I think it's always fun to mix up our wardrobe and try new ways of layering. You killed this look!

    1. They do grow up too fast! It's sad but it's also fun to see them change. Haha I love that you think I look like Blair! Definitely a big compliment! You're not the only one who has told me that either. A male employee in t-mobile told me that once haha. He even pulled up a picture of the actress to show the other employees ha.
