DIY Gold Desks and Chair

Now that we've bought our own house, we finally have enough rooms for me to have a work space/ craft room. But given the big expenses that we've incurred (house, couches, rugs, bedroom set), I haven't had a lot of funds to do much with the room. That's when I decided to check out IKEA. Sure, the stuff is very minimalist and not always pretty, but I figured I could spice something up a little.

Mommified Neutral Outfit

Today I thought I would try something different and share two takes on a look. The first take is dressier but not something that a SAHM could always wear. I took that look and "mommified" it- in other words, I created a more mom-friendly version. A momsemble, if you will. If I was going on a date, or out with a girlfriend, I would chose the first. But on days where I'm going to the grocery store or to a playground, the second look would be my pick. I think they both look great. They both feature a soft, trendy, neutral color scheme.

Letters to Lily: Ten Months

Dear Lily,

This was the best picture I could get of you for your ten month shoot! You are a busy little girl so as soon as I sat you on the bed you would turn around and start climbing on the pillows. I eventually resorted to distracting you with a toy which enabled me to get a single picture of you looking at the camera. Unfortunately your toy was hiding your ten month sticker but hey, I'll take it.
