It's a...

I may have taken a small hiatus from blogging. And by that I mean I took six months off. But I swear I had a good acceptable reason. If you follow me on instagram or facebook then you already know what it is. In case you don't know though.... drum roll...

The gift we're most excited about is a new baby girl arriving in April!

Yes, this made more sense when it was Christmas, but hey, we'll pretend this pic is still relevant. Morning sickness tends to kick my butt and zap me of any motivation to do anything other than keep my children and myself alive. So goals are at a bare minimum. And once my sickness subsided I found that some excessive weight gain thanks to some less-than-healthy cravings also left me with little desire to post pictures of myself online.

But I miss filling up this blog with my ramblings on fashion and motherhood so I'm going to do my best to preserve the small heartbeat that remains here. I plan on sharing some fashion posts, along with more beauty posts and perhaps a little more kid fashion. And anything else I think is useful to the handful of people who will be willing to return this blog after such a long absence.

So thank you for following along and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and that this new year has amazing things in store for you!

  1. I got so excited to see this in my feed today! Glad to see you are doing well AND expecting! How exciting! I bet your girls are so thrilled to have another baby sister! Hang in there mama, I'm sure you will look as stunning as ever. Weight gain is the norm. Remember you have lots of other ladies who feel for you. Hoping your pregnancy goes smoothly and the year 2017 is magical for your family!

  3. Hooray! Congratulations! I'd missed seeing your blog posts, and I was hoping that the absence was due to a good reason such as this :) So excited for you and your family. P.S. Are you guys starting to run out of girls' names you both agree on? :) That's what would happen if we had 3 girls since we only came up with 2 we liked...
